About

About the creator.

Rocky Cordray has been a social worker in Salt Lake City since 2014. After working with individuals experiencing chronic homelessness for nearly seven years as a case manager at The Road Home, he spent the last three years as a Care Coordinator for Sacred Circle Healthcare working with the residents of Pamela’s Place PSH in an on-site health clinic.

Working at a Permanent Supportive Housing facility has allowed him to implement Housing Survival for the residents every week as a harm reduction class under clinical supervision of Sacred Circle’s experienced Behavioral Health team.

Rocky has presented the class as a training at the Utah Homeless Summit three times since 2018. He has also travelled to Denver, CO and Anchorage, AK to present the class to multiple homeless services organizations as a collaborator with the tremendous social workers at BeauxSimone Consulting. In addition to this, Rocky has presented the class in online trainings for organizations in Michigan, Montana, and Oregon.

Rocky has offered Housing Survival pro bono for nearly two years at the Downtown Library in Salt Lake City for the benefit of anyone who is experiencing homelessness, recently housed, or who has experienced homeless recidivism. This once a month class also serves as a training for case managers and other social workers who work directly with people who qualify for services.
